Go Tell It on the Mountain

by The Brothers Four

on Merry Christmas (1966)

Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

Down in a holy manger
The humble Christ was born
And God sent down salvation
That blessed Christmas morning

Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

While shepherds kept their watch
O'er silent flocks by night
Behold throughout the heavens
There's shone a holy light
Haleluia

Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born
That Jesus Christ is born...
