Opposite Roads

by RedTheShow

Verse 1 : It all started from the bottom, back on the streets of the west side. It's the weekend, hoping that grandma would make us more of that apple pie. Hoping in meantime you would grow up and move ahead of time. It's the weekday heading to school it's another play day. Play hoops, and playgrounds with all of us smiling in a bright way. Thought we can all grow up and become someone one day. Not knowing kids grow up and that's all they know, what they don't feel it's time to grow, because it moves so slow, stiff in the mind, and brainwaves making them walk on snow. Than becomes an elementary graduation 6th grade ready to move on with no hesitation. Reach the middle age and you expect to meet new peeps and that's an invitation to the grave, not knowing people grow up and than they have to get on stage, meet the unknown and it feels up all the pain, rowing and mowing down from the underground, now you feel you got to grow up to live to avoid of what's not around. Become someone, not no one; they choose to become the smart one, but when things don't always expect to meet a goal, they become a bad one. Now you up in the high, with everything against the tide, and pride doesn't show you anything when you choosing the wrong side. I tried, and I risked it all to be on my own side, but I worry too much about others who I don't even know, and most of them might of died. I survived, but I can't help but to think of the others killing inside. Now you refusing to smile, I told you that for a long while. They told us to become ourselves, but you choose something different in denial. Keep remembering it's a shiny day, and crime don't pay they only takes what's ours and accept the credit for having the better day. I don't play I take it too personal when it's pain, but at the end of day I see bus's on the way, opposites roads with one going upstate. The other heading they're way going to learn the same lesson that we learned in our day, and play. We see different in the game, that's why I'm not insane, I'm heading down this road with a rhyme to create

Hook : Growing up in the heat, business is business in the street. Make one bad move and you'll be nearing defeat. Making a high crime, don't be going against the fold, you'll be headed upstate on the opposite road. (2x)

Verse 2 : Day and night every opportunity to go out, a lot of thoughts wondering if I encounter the same crowd. Alcohol no sober days for more praise, stay at home listing to the radio more people killed feeling disengaged. No more regrets just more upsets, feeling chaotic more gunshots going through my vest. I did everyone a favor no one tried to listen they went opposite roads heavy days staring at the vison. I creep though the fog, puff weed and maybe go for a job, street fights happening at night more people get involved. Go to a club I rather stay in the car, I tried to tell them not to go now they miles away looking pretty far. Straight out the gates of prison, I need everyone to listen. Meditate like it's yoga except pray for survival after breaking all the quota's. God doing the dirty work again, taking more lives after trading for lost sins. Brainwaves dropped, radio calls frequency have stopped, listen to dispatch and another on the way to the hospital getting shot by another cop. It's so simple to say no, watch my back I'm looking out the window, seeing more teens taking hit after hit like playing games on Nintendo. ( Its the grave)

Hook : Growing up in the heat, business is business in the street. Make one bad move and you'll be nearing defeat. Making a high crime, don't be going against the fold, you'll be headed upstate on the opposite road. (2x)

Verse 3 : I got enough juice, mistakes lead to confuse not to reproduce, I drop drips of blood on my arm trying to take a bullet out the farm, in a form water I can't die without have one disregard. Keep my eyez wide open looking through the white light with the doors closed, I wonder what's in store when my bros go. Hell on Earth, M.O.B.B just enough to go bizurk. I try not to think too much, I know I'm better than the rest of us. Stay with us, I can't believe she be blaming us, hard feelings won't go away without the life it gave with us. Who be us, to move away from face of the earth. Prison is more of a hell, not to mention for what the hell it's worth. I'm not smarter than the rest of ya'll but I got enough to listen not to mention all, rich bastards think they can manipulate us continuing to deceive us all. Never take advice from someone who can't do it all. The full of shit people same as the corrupt officials who is all evil. Given the task and I reform all my people's, who win without having to do too much, not even making a single fuss. Doing the job making sure they give it to us. Not again, it's a mission I have to start again, wise decisions based on intuitions turns into more predictions (again). Shoot more kids and then they get away having to deal with insanity again. I skipped hard lessons from boring figures, and wannabe kickers, I kick fear into they heads, up against the terror regime squad, equal opportunity makes me go against all the odds. It's a lesson to learn not everything can be done without taking a turn. Who but them, don't worry shine for success and than you can watch em burn
