I know you didn't see this coming but I'm here to say
I packed up all my bags and threw them all away
Just for one more chance at seeing something new
I'll pour my heart out if that's what I gotta do
Now I gotta say I know my ways
And every flaw I've gained along the way
It doesn't mean that I can't change
I'm starting to see a better me
Where all that holds me down will set me free
If I can concede
I'm not who I need to be
There's a monster I keep hidden, locked away
There's a door that I will open another day
There are vices in my life I can't escape
But there's a hope in my eye that could take that all away
Now I gotta say I know my ways
And every flaw I've gained along the way
It doesn't mean that I can't change
I'm starting to see a better me
Where all that holds me down will set me free
But all of that won't mean a thing
If it's just another song that I sing
This time I
Promise to be strong
This time I
Will admit when I am wrong
This time I
Promise to be brave
So next time I
Won't have myself to blame
I know I have my ways
Now I gotta say I know my ways
And every flaw I've gained along the way
It doesn't mean that I can't change
After all I've seen, you'd think I'd be
Somewhere further now than in between
All that's left is just to leave
It's time to wipe my slate clean
I know I have my ways
