The omniscient lamppost has taken flight
Torture me in natural light
Of coal-burning furnaces and neon signs
If only you can take me there
Don't tell God, though He won't care
Ownership of my soul is solely mine

The sky it needs no stars
When you wish upon the far, far Everland
Talk to my kitty cat and ask her what she sees
But I know that she won't talk back to me
She can't form the words, her brain is much too small
