It's all just lovely patterns of sound

The thunderous beatin' of drums
The rootin'-tootin' of reeds

And twangy plucking of strings

It's sound waves in motion
Music makes us cry, then makes us laugh
Or makes us feel tense, or filled with suspense

Our sense is affected

It can even make you react physically
Whenever I hear that funky sound
I just gotta throw my body around
