on Hawaiian Tradition (1997)

Ka wai lehua mukiki ono
A na manu o o lae

Ohia uliuli ka ua la e
Lehua'ula i kanahele lae

E nihi ka helena i panaewa
Mai ako i ka pua a hiiaka lae

E ka pae moku lehua la e
Mohala i uka o kaliu lae

E o e ka lehuaula o panaewa
Ka pua kapu a hiiaka lae

(Translation)

The delicious honeydew
Sipped by the manu o o

Ohia a fruits ripen in the rain
Scarlet lehua throughout the forest

Be careful as you approach Panaewa
Not to pluck the flower of Hiiaka

Care for my flowers
Blooming in the uplands of Kaliu

Greetings to the scarlet lehua of Panaewa
The sacred flower of Hiiaka
